oh yea.. for all those hiphop heads out there who aren't goin to a Homecoming dance on the 12th, there's a bboy event in Seattle..

in an email sent to me October 3, 2002:

"I know some of you, maybe you know me maybe you don't...I'm emailing you
guys because I been asked to put on a B-Boy battle with a very short
timeline (8 more days!) and want to make it the best as possible. I can
only do so much on the promotions tip, because there is no promotion
budget, all the expenses are going towards the cash prize for the winners
and the DJ's to be broken off a little something. I did a quick 20 minute
job on Photoshop that I will bring to Jefferson tomorrow (Friday) with all
the information that I got below. Please do what you can to get the word
out, I know its a week, but word travels fast, and if you question my
experience throwing events, I co-founded The SHOW and have done several
concerts and a few B-Boy events including being one of the main organizers
for Lords of the Floor (I was Kutfather's assistant trying to keep him
from not appearing COMPLETELY ignorant to B-Boying like we all know, haha,
thats my man though). Anyways, this is all last minute but I think it can
be pulled off, so please help spread the word to all your fellow
crewmates/b-boys/b-girls/friends at school/etc. to make this event crack.
The more people that come, the bigger the Cash Prize, and the more events
we can do like this at this brand new venue. This is mad long, I'm sorry,
but let everybody know there WILL be lots of MEDIA so it will be a good
opportunity. The Mayor of Seattle will be in attendence if that means
anything. Peace, and I hope I can get y'all to support.
